stream:: Cromie - Inner Knows EP
A Club Called Rhonda regular and States of Being co-curator Cromie, preps his solo EP on Brooklyn label Peach. This follows his collaborative EP from last summer with Sage Caswell on the inaugurated Peach label. The EP, Inner Knows, is out now on limited edition 12" and limitless digital formats, with four excellent house tracks that contribute nicely to the city's fast-growing underground club scene. The first track on the release, 'How To Stop A Bulldozer', sets the tone for the rest of the release beautifully as it leaks with a bright poppy house rhythm and melody that makes it easy for any person to loose themselves to the beat of the sound. This leads to 'Flan' and 'Inner Knows', both of which are compositions for the dancefloor, carrying a future funk and pumping deep-house vine that surely can't be denied. The closing track is a remix from none other than L.A.'s Suzanne Kraft with a 'Stopandgopercussivephase mix' of the groovy original 'Flan'. Big things on the horizon for Cromie this year, be sure to keep updated with him here. You can stream the whole EP via Fact Magazine or listen to previews below via Peach. Purchase the release here.
