Babe Rainbow

Vancouver's Babe Rainbow aka Cameron Reed released his, Shaved EP, on Warp Records back in February. I had heard many good things about the EP so recently i actually sat down and gave each track a close listen, it put me into a different dimension. He takes raw ambient sounds and infuses it with dark, dub, wobble rifts; puts you into a electronic gaze. I can go on for days about this guys music, so listen for yourself. Below is one my favorite tunes from his new Ep as well as an awesome cover he did for Wavves, 'Weed Demon', last year.

Last night I decided to go to CONTROL at the Avalon in Hollywood. I wasn't expecting much from it but I was wrong, PANTyRAiD started doing their gig and they killed their whole set it was amazing playing everything from grimey wobble dub to experimental electronic sounds mashed up with some mainstream hip - hop, they blew me away. Daedelus of course tore the place down with his crazy skills, overall amazing shit, check out this PANTyRAiD mixtape that they put out for XLR8R mag last year...
